Job Description
Cardiothoracic Surgery locums coverage is needed in Texas at a Level 1 trauma center, covering inpatient consults, rounds, and emergent cardiothoracic surgical services with an established 7 on, 7 off rotation.
Highlights
- 7 days on followed by 7 days off, predictable blocks that fit around an existing practice
- Level 1 trauma center coverage, trauma call and emergency cardiothoracic surgery as assigned
- Manageable service size, average 6 to 7 patients rounding with 1 to 2 consults per day
- Robotic assisted thoracic surgery exposure available, preference for surgeons comfortable with robotics
Practice Setting
- Inpatient adult cardiothoracic surgery service
- Daily rounds plus consult coverage, typical service 6 to 7 patients
- Emergency cardiothoracic surgical coverage tied to trauma call needs
- EPIC for documentation
