Job Description
The System Administrator I supports the design, deployment, and ongoing operation of Linux-based infrastructure and virtualized environments that power academic, research, and instructional computing. This role focuses on systems administration across Proxmox virtualization platforms, Linux servers (primarily RHEL-based), and specialized lab environments including high performance computing systems. The position also supports Windows-based lab systems, including application deployment, licensing management, and end-user support for instructional software in academic computing environments.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent).
- Manage system performance, logging, and troubleshooting for shared workloads.
