Launch your VFX career with ILM’s Jedi Academy as a Technical Animator. This paid 6-week hybrid role allows you to develop animation skills while collaborating on exciting projects. At ILM, we invite recently graduated students or artists with up to two years of experience to apply for our Technical Animator role. You'll immerse yourself in character and creature animation and engage in troubleshooting and optimizing tools. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with master animators in a creative and cooperative workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Animate character and creature performance for CG and VFX.
- Provide technical support on animation-related tasks.
- Develop and test current animation tools and workflows.
- Manage video reference preparation for performance.
- Communicate effectively during daily presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
