Job Overview
The Technician position is located in the Production Department of our Animal Health facility in Charlottetown, P.E.I. The facility manufactures vaccines and biologics for aquaculture farming using fermentation, tangential flow filtration, chromatography, cell culture platforms, and sterile filling.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily production activities and meet schedule requirements.
- Prepare equipment, buffers, and media components for fermentation and downstream processing.
- Operate fermentation units, perform plasmid DNA downstream processing, and blend final vaccines prior to sterile filling.
- Document processes in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and apply basic problem‑solving skills to support continuous improvement.
