Term Specific Teaching Role in Hope, B.C.
Job Description
Join Coquihalla Elementary School as a Term Specific Intermediate Teacher starting September 8, 2026, in Hope, B.C. This role focuses on fostering student growth and creativity.
We're looking for a full-time (1.0 F.T.E.) educator with a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate and a university degree in elementary education. Ideal candidates should have experience teaching at primary and elementary levels, especially those who have engaged with Indigenous communities and students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver effective lesson plans
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods
• Work collaboratively with faculty and parents
• Encourage student participation and respect
• Attend professional development workshops
Requirements:
• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
• Degree in elementary education
• Previous teaching experience at primary/elementary
• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural perspectives a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills
