About the Organization The Open Mapping Hub in LAC focuses on leveraging open geographic data to foster inclusive, sustainable development and resilient communities. Established in 2023, it emphasizes social impact mapping and community involvement to promote social and economic change throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing HOT’s regional data and mapping projects Support participatory field mapping activities and stakeholder engagement Contribute to GIS data validation, analysis, and reporting Facilitate training workshops on tools such as OpenStreetMap, QGIS, and culturally relevant mapping applications Support communication with local partners, government agencies, and communities Document workflows, lessons learned, and best practices Qualifications Minimum 2 years in project coordination and GIS/mapping Experience with OpenStreetMap and GIS tools (preferably QGIS) Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English Willingness to travel w...
