Traffic System Specialist I or II
Perform specialized electrical/electronic technical work related to traffic management/control systems, communication, illumination, or traffic data collection devices and systems. Responsibilities include development, installation, testing, programming, and repair of electrical/electronic devices and systems. Work may involve heavy traffic environments and extensive statewide travel. Interaction with governmental and private entities is required. Employees work independently on assignments; when needed, issues are escalated to the supervisor.
Traffic System Specialist I Responsibilities
- Drive/operate a bucket truck to install and repair electronic traffic control devices at various heights.
