Job Description
Overall Scope Automotive VA/VE Engineer with a strong focus on mechanical design and mechatronics.The current product portfolio includes EGR systems, solenoids, injection-molded components, throttle bodies, and pedal assemblies.The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of solenoid and electric motor operating principles, cast or molded housings, as well as CAD/FEA design and DFMEA.Responsibilities and Duties: •Develop and evaluate cost reduction ideas through technical and commercial analysis, as well as data collection throughout the entire product lifecycle (Value Engineering + Value Analysis).
•Increase profitability by driving design changes that reduce overall BOM cost.
•Facilitate cross-functional workshops to generate cost reduction ideas.
•Lead technical discussions and project meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
•Visit suppliers to analyze manufacturing processes, tooling, and costs.
