Job Summary
The Yard Coordinator will report to Omineca's Shop Manager and will be responsible for yard organization, snow removal, loading and unloading large shipments of steel from trucks, as well as shipping and receiving duties. This is a safety-sensitive position which requires physical fitness and an ability to follow safe work procedures. A typical day for the Yard Coordinator at Omineca involves operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, tele-handlers and loaders, receiving and sorting incoming shipments, staging materials and equipment in the yard, coordinating with the Shop Manager and Project Managers to schedule incoming and outgoing shipments, loading and unloading large shipments, and maintaining detailed and accurate documentation. This is a physically demanding role which will require the successful candidate to work outdoors up to 95% of the time. Some office and computer work will be required.
