Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Technical Development – Assist in the development of creative and viable landscape concepts, masterplans, and detailed designs for a variety of projects (public realms, parks, plazas, residential compounds, commercial developments).
  • Prepare high‑quality presentation materials, including sketches, diagrams, 2D/3D visualizations, and graphic layouts for client and authority submissions.
  • Develop comprehensive design development and construction drawing packages (layouts, grading, planting, irrigation, detailing).
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (architects, engineers, urban planners) to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct site analysis, including contextual studies, climate assessment, and site inspections.
  • Research and specify appropriate materials, plants, furnishings, and lighting suitable for the arid environment of Riyadh.

Project & Client Coordination

  • Support project managers in coordinating deliverables, schedules, and resources.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Assist in liaising with local authorities, contractors, and sub‑consultants during design and construction phases.
  • Help ensure projects adhere to local regulations, codes, and sustainability standards (e.g., Mostadam, LEED, or equivalent).

Professional Development

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and technologies relevant to landscape architecture in the Middle East.
  • Contribute to office knowledge sharing and design discussions.

Required profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • A strong design portfolio showcasing technical proficiency and creative conceptual thinking.
  • Expertise in design software: High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and SketchUp. Experience with BIM (Revit) is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing construction documents and detailing.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, planting design, and irrigation principles suitable for arid and semi‑arid regions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience working in the Middle East, specifically in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • Familiarity with Riyadh Municipality and other relevant Saudi authority submission processes and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of sustainability frameworks and water conservation strategies.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., Lumion, Enscape, Rhino).
  • Arabic language skills is a plus.
