Job Description

  • Leading audits and auditing as part of a team, liaising with managers and partners when required.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldwork.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Assist in work allocation and supervise more junior team members on audits, providing support, training and reviewing their work.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure audit assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Clearing reviews and finalising accounts including checking disclosures in Limited Company Accounts.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • If qualified, attending training courses as directed by managers.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • If not yet qualified, attending day release study towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CA(SA)) and keeping continuous records of work -based experience in connection with this accountancy qualification.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Studying towards CA qualification
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Minimum of 3 years Audit practice experience, some accounts experience is also a must
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Preference for a University degree with at least one year post training contract experience
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH experience would be an advantage
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Fully fluent in English with proven communication skills, both written and verbal
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Exceptional attention to detail
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Good team player with ability to lead and train junior members of staff
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Well -presented and possess the necessary attitude and personality that is associated with a professional firm.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with staff and clients alike.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Able to adhere to budgets and advise managers of problems on a timely basis.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • An organised individual with excellent timekeeping skills.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
      <\/span><\/li>
    • A positive, confident and proactive attitude
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Enjoy working as part of a team and self -motivated
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Able to work within procedures on job aspects which will deal with facts, standards and quality<\/span>
