Business Analysts (Junior & Mid-Level) – Banking Sector,
in the Digital, Data & Business Transformation/Business Analysis Department on behalf of its client. The role is for someone passionate about problem-solving, digital transformation, and improving business processes within a dynamic banking environment.
Junior Business Analyst (0–2 years experience)
Role Overview
The Junior Business Analyst will support the analysis, documentation, and improvement of business processes across various functional areas within the bank. The role involves gathering business requirements, developing reports, documenting processes, and assisting in the delivery of technology or operational change initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with data, reporting tools, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Assist in collecting, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
- Participate in workshops, interviews, and meetings to understand business needs.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
- Support activities within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, testing, and deployment support.
Process Analysis & Documentation
- Document current-state (As-Is) processes and help design improved future-state (To-Be) processes.
- Prepare process maps using BPM tools or diagramming software.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop, update, and maintain operational and business performance reports.
- Perform basic data analysis to support decision-making.
- Present findings in a clear, structured format using PowerPoint or similar tools.
Project Support
- Assist in project tracking, administrative tasks, and status reporting.
- Support testing activities (UAT), including documenting test cases and capturing defects.
- Help prepare business cases, presentations, and documentation for governance committees.
- Learn and apply SDLC concepts in day-to-day tasks.
Required Skills & Competencies (Hard Requirements)
Technical & Analytical

Mid-Level Business Analyst (2–5 years experience)
Role Overview
The Mid-Level Business Analyst plays a key role in analysing business needs, improving processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making within the bank. The role focuses on digital transformation initiatives, data projects, system enhancements, regulatory requirements, and operational optimisation. The analyst will work closely with IT, Data, Digital, CX, Credit, and Operations teams to design solutions that enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and support business growth.
This role requires strong analytical skills, solid banking knowledge, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design
- Lead the end-to-end requirements lifecycle—from elicitation to approval.
- Break down complex banking problems into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
- Evaluate solution options and identify impacts to systems, processes, data flows, and stakeholders.
Banking, Digital & Data-Focused Responsibilities
- Analyse banking data (transactional, customer profile, risk, credit, product data).
- Support digital initiatives across mobile banking, online banking, self-service channels, and automation.
- Work with data teams to understand data models, data dictionaries, lineage, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders on data quality improvements and remediation efforts.
- Contribute to the design of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting structures.
Process & Operations Improvement
- Document current-state (As-Is) processes and design improved future-state (To-Be) processes.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose optimised processes aligned to digital strategies.
- Support automation opportunities (RPA, workflow automation, straight-through processing).
Project & Delivery Support
- Facilitate workshops, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Support solution testing (UAT), including test case design, execution, validation, and defect management.
- Prepare project documentation, business cases, benefits assessments, and governance artefacts.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and internal banking standards.

- Data/BI certifications (Power BI, SQL, cloud)
