As a strategic leader and hands -on host, you'll oversee every detail of camp life, from guest activities and staff development to logistics, compliance, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
<\/h4>

<\/p> Operational Management:<\/b>
<\/div> – Oversee all aspects of daily camp operations in partnership with Lodge Management.
<\/div> – Ensure seamless coordination across departments to maintain high service standards.
<\/div> – Manage logistics, maintenance, and hygiene protocols across camp facilities.
<\/div> – Sales of beverages and handcrafted curios to enhance the guest experience.
<\/div>

<\/p> Guest Experience<\/b>
<\/div> – Deliver personalized, world -class hospitality to every guest.
<\/div> – Plan and execute daily activities, including game drives, bush walks, and surprise experiences.
<\/div> – Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.

<\/p> Staff Leadership<\/b>
<\/div> – Support recruitment, training, and performance management of camp staff.
<\/div> – Foster a culture of excellence, respect, and continuous development.
<\/div> – Uphold disciplinary protocols and resolve internal conflicts with integrity

<\/p> Financial Oversight<\/b>
<\/div> – Assist in budget development and cost control measures.
<\/div> – Maintain accurate inventory and financial reporting systems.
<\/div> – Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual stock takes.

<\/p> Compliance & Sustainability<\/b>
<\/div> – Ensure adherence to SANParks regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
<\/div> – Maintain up -to -date licenses and permits for camp operations and staff.
<\/div> – Champion eco -conscious practices and community development initiatives.

<\/p> Health & Safety<\/b>
<\/div> – Implement emergency procedures and uphold sanitation and food safety standards.
<\/div> – Ensure medical readiness and trauma response capabilities.

<\/p> Reporting & Communication<\/b>
<\/div> – Provide regular performance updates to senior management.
<\/div> – Maintain clear communication channels with staff, guests, and leadership

<\/p> Continuous Improvement<\/b>
<\/div> – Analyze feedback to identify areas for enhancement.
<\/div> – Introduce innovative ideas aligned with the Imbali Safari Lodge brand.

Requirements<\/h3>
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in camp or lodge management.
    <\/li>
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management skills.
    <\/li>
  • Must demonstrate maturity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
    <\/li>
  • Valid driver's license and off -road driving proficiency.
    <\/li>
  • First aid training and basic mechanical/electrical knowledge are beneficial.
    <\/li>
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    <\/li>
  • Knowledge of Kruger Park geography preferred.
    <\/li>
  • Familiarity with South African tourism regulations and Acts.
    <\/li>
  • Fluency in English; Shangaan or related African language advantageous.
    <\/li>
  • Knowledge of foreign languages would be advantageous.
    <\/li>
  • Warm, professional, and guest -centric demeanor.
    <\/li>
  • Adaptable, resilient, and composed under pressure.
    <\/li>
  • Detail -oriented with high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

    Benefits<\/h3> The position is available to either a single candidate or a couple, provided one partner is a qualified Field Guide or Lodge Administrator.<\/span>
    <\/div> – This is a live -in role, suitable for individuals or couples.<\/span>
    <\/div> – Accommodation and meals are provided.<\/span>
    <\/div> – Leave includes 7 consecutive days off per month and 21 consecutive days of annual leave.<\/span>
    <\/div> – Applicants must supply contactable references from at least three previous managers.<\/span>
    <\/div>
    <\/div> A highly competitive, market -related package will be discussed during interviews or upon request.<\/span>
    <\/div> The package includes a Provident fund of which the company contributes 5%.<\/span>
