Linum Consult’s client is a major international company working within the energy sector. They are currently in the process of expanding in the GCC region and are seeking a CFO to be based in their Omani office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Acting as the business partner to the Executive Management team, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of the company’s business in OmanOverseeing all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, etc.Developing and maintaining the highest standard of corporate governance, compliance and internal controlEnsuring the adoption of the company’s policies, procedures, and systems, as well as complying with local laws and regulationsDeveloping and implementing an effective and sustainable financial strategy and capital structuring of the businessProviding high quality, reliable and transparent management information for decision-making to ensure a sound performance management frameworkEnsuring the effective leadership of the finance function, and provide career direction, progression, and coaching for the finance team PROFILE
University degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration, with a professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCAIdeally have a master’s degree in Finance and/or Business AdministrationAt least 8 years’ experience in financial management, with the last 2 years in a similar position of responsibilityFamiliarity with Omani corporate and tax laws and regulationsGood knowledge of local GAAP and IFRSFamiliarity with market-leading ERP systems and Financial Planning and Consolidation systems (Oracle preferred)Fluent in EnglishPreviously worked for large international companies in multicultural business environmentsIdeally have experience working for a Big4 company in the field of Audit, Tax, and AssuranceGeneral working knowledge of the energy or power industryDue to our client’s ongoing commitment to Omanisation, candidates who are Omani nationals will be given higher priority
