For this position, it is required to be on-site 3 times per week .
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
Tax Compliance Management: Oversee accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of all tax returns, including VAT (IVA), Corporate Income Tax (Ganancias), Transfer Pricing, and withholding taxes.
Provincial & Municipal Taxes: Manage provincial tax obligations (Ingresos Brutos - IIBB) across multiple jurisdictions and the Multilateral Agreement (Convenio Multilateral), as well as municipal rates.
Audit & Inspection Defense: Lead interactions with tax authorities (AFIP and provincial agencies), manage audits, respond to information requests, and coordinate legal defenses when necessary.
Reporting & Accounting: Reconcile tax accounts, ensure accurate tax effect recording in financial statements, and prepare reports for local management and global headquarters (IFRS/US GAAP).
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on Argentina’s volatile tax landscape and assess the impact of new laws or judicial rulings on business operations.
Process Improvement: Drive automation and efficiency within the tax department using ERP systems (SAP) and tax‑specific software.
Team Leadership: Mentor the tax team and manage relationships with external consultants and auditors.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (CPA equivalent in Argentina).
Experience: Minimum 5 years in tax compliance, ideally within a Big Four firm or a multinational company with complex operations in Argentina.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Argentine tax system (AFIP, IIBB, Transfer Pricing). Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English for regional and global reporting.
Competencies: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and capacity to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
