Consultant Anaesthetist – Australia

Job Description Currently we have an excellent opportunities for experienced Consultant Anaesthetists to join leading public services across Australia – metro, coastal, and regional centres – with broad case mix, strong trainee programs, and granted private practice rights boosting total earnings.

Salary: Up to $454,145 p.a. (ETR) inclusive of allowances and private practice earnings.
Position: Consultant Anaesthetist
Hours: Full-time
Setting: Tertiary and regional theatres, interventional suites, obstetrics, perioperative medicine
Location: Australia-wide (major cities and popular regional hubs)

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Provide consultant anaesthesia across elective and emergency lists
• Contribute to obstetric, trauma, or paediatric rosters as applicable
• Lead perioperative assessment and optimisation services
• Teach and supervise registrars and junior doctors
• Participate in after-hours and on-call as rostered
• Drive safety, audit, and quality improvement programs
• Collaborate closely within multidisciplinary perioperative teams

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

• On specialist reg via CCT and FRCA
• GMC Registered
• Proven leadership in high-acuity perioperative care
• Strong commitment to education and governance
