We are looking for highly motivated
Business Development Director
/
Country Manager
with strong experience in high-voltage (HV) transmission equipment in Chile.

Our client is a global leading manufacturer specialized in power transformers and power transmission and distribution equipment. They are currently opening an office in Chile.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a global leader, supporting grid operators and participating in international tenders. The Country Manager will act as the key point of contact for local TSOs and DSOs, qualifying HV equipment, managing projects, and developing business opportunities. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build and lead a local team in the future and directly influence business growth in the Chilean market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with grid operators (TSOs/DSOs) and key accounts
  • Support tender preparation, technical qualification, and project execution for HV transmission equipment
  • Manage and follow up on awarded projects, ensuring technical and commercial success
  • Collaborate closely with regional Sales teams to drive business growth
  • Act as the technical authority for HV equipment, including transformers, GIS, switchgear, capacitors, and HVDC converters
  • Potentially build and lead a local engineering, project management, and after-sales team

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field (MBA is a plus)
  • Extensive experience in the energy or electrical infrastructure sector, with strong exposure to HV systems
  • Proven experience in transmission, utility, EPC, or grid operator environments
  • Established network of contacts with TSOs and DSOs
  • Experience participating in local and international tenders
  • Languages: Spanish and English required
  • Ability to work independently in a flexible, remote work environment
