Short Description

Leads Technical Validation Engineers across all technology domains in the day-to-day delivery of technical validation and feasibility checks, for both Customer Orders and 'Internal Network Optimisation Orders'.

Job Summary


Technical Validation Team Leads are responsible for managing Technical Validation Engineers and overseeing technical validation activities to ensure consistent and high-quality work, monitor resource capacity, and manage escalations to help the team navigate challenges and deliver in line with SLAs.

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the workload and priorities for Technical Validation Engineers and supporting their professional development

  • Overseeing Technical Validation activities to proactively manage resource capacity, manage stakeholder conflicts, and monitor quality of validation procedures being performed

  • Managing escalations and making decisions to solve issues, providing direction and steer to teams to navigate challenges

  • Supporting the team meet their KPIs and ensuring technical validation activities are conducted to high-quality in line with SLAs

  • Driving Continuous Service Improvement initiatives to evolve and enhance Technical Validation practices
  • Requirement

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network design/provisioning within the relevant industry, with solid understanding and knowledge of installation, testing, and NOC environments (Optical/Ethernet/SDH/SONET, DWDM, EoSDH/IP).

  • At least 5 years of experience leading a team.

  • Strong knowledge and genuine interest in network-related technologies.

  • Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly express technical concepts in documentation.

  • Experience and proficiency in creating business documents in both Japanese and English.

  • Strong technical background with the ability to provide instructions and explanations to non-technical audiences.

  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong active listening ability.

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other tools commonly used for daily administrative tasks.

  • Native-level Japanese and fluent English (speaking, listening, writing, and reading at conversational/business level or higher).

  • CCNP/CCIE certification is a plus.
