About this Position
Henkel is looking for a Customs Certification Specialist to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan.This position is responsible for end-to-end coordination of import and export customs clearance, making sure materials don’t get stuck at customs. You’ll coordinate customs clearance, paperwork, certifications, and deliveries, working closely with brokers, authorities, and internal teams. We expect a level of maturity that allows you to act proactively: flag risks early, suggest solutions, and move things forward without waiting for step-by-step instructions. The focus is on keeping everything compliant, on time, and transparent.
What you´ll do
- Support customs brokers in import/export clearance processes, including preparation and validation of documentation.
- Identify certification, licensing, and permit requirements; arrange and track permissive documents with local authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations; proactively monitor and assess changes in legislation and restrictions.
- Prepare documentation for certificates of state registration and certificates of conformity.
- Calculate and validate customs duties, taxes, and related charges.
- Manage contracts and monitor payments related to customs, brokers, and certification agencies.
- Coordinate with internal customers, brokers, and certification bodies to resolve issues efficiently.
- Track inbound shipments from dispatch to receipt.
- Maintain and update inbound status reports and proactively inform relevant stakeholders.
