ED/SVP, Senior Business Manager, Private Banking, Consumer Banking Group-(WD78566)

Role Summary
The Senior Business Manager acts as a strategic partner to the Region Head of Private Banking (ASEAN), leading business management functions across the franchise. The role drives strategic initiatives, governance, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with group priorities while enabling business growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Region Head of Private Banking to develop and execute business strategy, expansion plans, and performance objectives.
  • Work closely with Senior Market Heads and Market Heads to crystalize development and execution of market strategy
  • Drive large-scale strategic initiatives (e.g., growth into new markets, digital transformation, client segmentation, product development) and ensure timely execution.
  • Lead governance and management processes: business reviews, strategic planning, performance tracking, regulatory updates, and Board/ExCo papers.
  • Provide senior-level decision support through financial and non-financial analysis, scenario planning, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Oversee risk and control environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Manage business-wide communications and stakeholder alignment across senior management, control functions, and front office.
  • Where need be, deputized Region Head in approvals and decision making
  • Mentor and oversee Business Manager, ensuring consistency, quality, and professional growth within the business management team.
  • Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in private banking/wealth management, strategy, or business management.
  • Strong track record of leading high-impact projects and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience with ability to mentor and influence across functions.
