This Embark opportunity is in Seoul, South Korea, working with OMS missionaries to help provide English trainings (ESL/TESOL) for missionaries from South Korea. You will learn about Korean culture, observe and experience various ministries in Korea, share life with Korean missionary candidate families while living at the Missionary Training Center, and provide English training and practice for Korean cross-cultural missionaries and their children to help prepare them for cross-cultural overseas mission work.
You'll also be poured into by a team of missionaries as you learn more about your gifts and passions. Our hope for this experience is that you will grow in your relationship with God, expand your skill set, be more prepared to disciple people from other cultures, and perhaps discern a long-term call to missions and ministry.
Responsibilities Help provide English training (ESL/TESOL) for South Korean missionaries preparing to serve globally. Observe and experience various ministries in Korea. Share life with Korean missionary candidate families while living at the Missionary Training Center. Skills High School Diploma or GED required Some college preferred Some experience teaching and/or tutoring English preferred (ESL/TESOL) Adaptability Good relational skills Desire to see Gospel transformation Other Information You will be serving from late-July to late-September Cost will be $3,000 (including travel expenses). This is a volunteer internship that requires raising financial support through ministry partners. Scholarship are available for 2025! Please inquire to see if you are eligible. During your time with Embark you will serve with One Mission Society, build relationships with Korean families, receive mentorship from experienced missionaries, work alongside a team of other like-minded OMS interns, expand and hone your skill set, and grow in your ministry approach to evangelism, discipleship, and communicating your testimony.
