Job Description
As a Financial Controller your responsibilities are:
- Managing and overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Preparing accurate financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
- Consolidation of financials KPIs.
- Review, analyse and comment on the performance of business units.
- Monitoring and analyzing financial performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with other departments to establish budgets and financial strategies.
- Leading financial audits and implementing effective internal controls.
- Providing recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and process optimizations.
- Supporting senior management with financial insights and analyses.
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- A degree in Finance or accounting or a related field.
- 5/6 years of experience in financial roles, ideally in retail.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools.
- Ability to work effectively in the retail industry environment.
