We're hiring self-employed Food Packaging Technical Reviewers for GFSI-benchmarked schemes.
Responsible for evaluating and completing technical reviews of audit reports and certificate decisions, this role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual capable of efficiently managing workloads and adhering to strict deadlines. We're looking for contractors to perform a minimum of 20 report reviews per month.
Responsibilities
- Perform and complete technical reviews of reports and certificate decisions.
- Review and assess corrective actions to ensure standard requirements are met.
- Review, evaluate and potentially return audit reports that do not meet quality, accreditation, or scheme requirements to the auditor along with reason(s) for return.
- Maintain open communication with management team to identify quality issues or trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role and function.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in food industry (ideally in QA or food safety functions within food production or manufacturing, retail, or inspection).
- Degree in food-related or bioscience-related discipline.
- Lead Auditor course certificate (40 hours).
- Course evidence showing latest version of BRCGS or FSSC Packaging completion.
- Successful completion of an industry recognized 2-day training course in HACCP, based on principles of Codex Alimentarius.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and excellent time management.
