Freelance Subtitle Translators
Job Description
WisBus is seeking talented freelance subtitle translators for video content, primarily K-dramas, entertainment shows, and variety programs.
This is a project-based freelance position (not full-time employment), and assignments will be offered depending on project availability.
Current focus: language pairs
- English → Latin American Spanish/ Brazilian Portuguese
- Korean → English/ Latin American Spanish/ Brazilian Portuguese
Responsibilities
- Translate and/or proofread subtitles for video content
- Post-edit and review AI-generated translations (MTPE)
- Quality check for AI-generated dubbing to ensure accurate pronunciation, timing, and natural delivery
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and tone appropriate to the content
- Follow project-specific style guides and deadlines
Preferred qualifications
- Proven experience in subtitle translation
- Familiarity with Subtitle Edit or Aegisub (highly preferred)
- Experience with AI translation post-editing (MTPE) and AI dubbing quality review is a strong plus
- Strong sense of cultural nuance and adaptation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively
- Familiarity with Korean content is preferred
Location / Work setting
This is a fully remote freelance position.
You do not need to be based in Colombia to apply.

Compensation
Compensation follows internal company policy and varies depending on project type and volume.
