Front-End Engineer
Job Description
Front-End Engineer & Designer (hybrid)
We're hiring a hands-on front-end engineer who also designs—someone who moves daily between Figma and React to ship pixel-perfect, mobile-first UI improvements. You'll work closely with the CEO and Head of Engineering to execute a full UX/UI migration and deliver responsive, production-ready features fast.
Short hook
Own the translation from high-fidelity designs to shipped product: implement a complete mobile-first redesign, iterate quickly with users, and ship polished React components that scale.
Responsibilities
Translate Figma designs into production-ready React components and layouts with pixel accuracy
Implement a mobile-first, responsive UI across the application, ensuring consistent behavior on all devices
Collaborate daily with the CEO and Head of Engineering to align implementation with product vision and priorities
Audit current UX/UI, propose focused improvements, and execute design corrections in Figma and code
Build and integrate front-end patterns and components to support a design system (ShadCN familiarity is a plus)
Connect front-end UI to APIs and ensure workflows function end-to-end in production
Perform UI/UX QA and polish: catch and fix visual and interaction edge cases before release
Drive short feedback loops: ship quickly, gather user feedback, and iterate
Document component usage and implementation details for the team
Requirements (must-haves)
Strong, demonstrable experience building production applications with React (component architecture, state management, performance considerations)
Proven track record translating Figma designs into working UI (portfolio or concrete examples required)
Solid mobile-first and responsive design skills, with examples of delivering cross-device layouts
Keen attention to visual details and UX polish—able to spot and correct small but important issues
Experience integrating front-end code with APIs and delivering end-to-end flows
Comfortable pairing with executives and engineering leads; strong communication in design/technical discussions
Ability to move quickly and ship production-ready work under regular (9–6) hours
Flexible on location and work authorization (remote/global hiring)
Nice to Have
Familiarity with ShadCN or similar component/design systems
Experience creating or implementing a design system and component library
Experience with front-end testing/QA workflows or automation
Experience working on migrations or large UI/UX redesigns
