High-Performance Cloud Computing Internship

Internship scope

We are looking for a Master or PhD student with good knowledge in areas of Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems. Preferably, the candidate would also have some experience in the area of High-Performance Computing or Real-time Systems.

Main Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our experienced team to design and optimize our Cloud Computing based offerings in different areas. Detailed scope to be defined together with the supervisor.

• Research and technology insights reports on different Cloud Computing technologies.
• Design and evaluation of Cloud-Native architectures in the presence of strict latency requirements.
• Proof-of-concept development and testing of your ideas.
• Write a report, and present your work to the relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, IT, Engineering Maths or related fields.
• Good programming skills and experience into setting up complex development environments.
• Deep knowledge of Cloud Native technologies, Cloud Service models and Virtualization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Computer architecture, real-time systems and high-performance computing, as well as ARM architecture knowledge and skills will be considered as an extra.
• Winning or competing in programming contests is a plus.

What we offer:

The internship will last for a minimum period of 6 months and possible to extend until 1 year. This is a full-time and paid internship. The intern will work in at Stockholm Research Center, Huawei Technologies Sweden AB.
