The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Web Developer Intern to join our development team. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you will work on real client projects, building responsive websites and digital solutions for small businesses across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining client websites using modern web technologies
• Write clean, efficient HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
• Implement responsive designs that work across all devices
• Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional websites
• Troubleshoot and debug website issues
• Optimize website performance and loading speeds
• Update and maintain existing client websites
• Learn and apply best practices in web development and accessibility

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Basic knowledge of version control (Git/GitHub)
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed
• Portfolio or personal projects demonstrating your coding abilities (GitHub profile welcome)

Bonus Points

• Experience with React, Vue, or other JavaScript frameworks
• Knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms
• Understanding of basic SEO principles
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD
• Experience with web hosting and deployment
