Overview
We are a well-established, patient-focused dermatology practice in the United States seeking a Skilled Virtual Assistant (SAVA) based in South Africa with experience in digital marketing and Webflow / website development.
This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, creative, and reliable, with the ability to manage a professional medical brand online while working independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management & Development
- Manage and update the practice website using Webflow (preferred) or similar CMS platforms
- Create, edit, and optimize website pages (Home, Services, Providers, Patient Resources, Contact, etc.)
- Upload and format provider bios, services, conditions, and blog content
- Ensure website is mobile-responsive, visually polished, and user-friendly
- Maintain consistent branding (fonts, colors, layout)
- Implement basic SEO best practices (meta titles, descriptions, headings)
Digital Marketing & Content
- Assist with marketing campaigns to promote services, providers, and office updates
- Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile, etc.)
- Draft patient-friendly content for blogs, announcements, and promotions
- Support email marketing campaigns (newsletters, announcements, reminders)
- Track engagement metrics and report basic performance insights
Brand & Online Presence
- Ensure accuracy and professionalism across all online platforms
- Maintain Google Business Profile listings and respond to reviews when directed
- Support reputation management and online visibility initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with practice goals
Administrative & Collaboration Support
- Communicate regularly with the Practice Administrator or leadership team
- Follow HIPAA-compliant practices when handling any patient-related content
- Manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines independently
- Suggest improvements for workflow, website usability, and marketing efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Virtual Assistant, Marketing Assistant, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with Webflow or website development (portfolio preferred)
- Strong written English communication skills
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and SEO principles
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with healthcare, dermatology, or medical marketing is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
- Social media scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
- Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)
- Understanding of HIPAA-compliant content practices
- Experience working with U.S.-based medical practices
