JOB PROFILE: MOULD EXPERT / MOULD IN-CHARGE

1. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mould Expert will be responsible for the end-to-end management, maintenance, and
optimization of high-precision moulds. This role requires a hands-on technical leader to
ensure zero downtime in production, zero loss of cavities, and strict adherence to product
weight and quality specifications.
2. KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Diploma in Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering with relevant
specialized experience.
• Experience: 10–15 years of solid experience in mould maintenance and tool room
operations.
• Technical Expertise: * Extensive experience with thin-wall bottle moulds and
complex caps (Flip-top/Multi-cavity).
o Expertise in Hot Runner Systems and high-cavitation moulds.
o Advanced operation of Lathes, Milling machines, Grinding machines, and
Laser/Spot welding.
• Skills: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, troubleshoot malfunctions, and
execute precision repairs.
3. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Mould Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Analyze and repair complex mould malfunctions to ensure the consistent production
of acceptable parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in manually operated, progressive, and specialty
moulds.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance, including deep cleaning, lubrication, and
inspection for wear or damage.
• Ensure zero loss of cavities during production runs and eliminate "flash" issues in
the final product.
Precision Engineering & Fabrication
• Produce high-precision replacement parts for various mould types using tool room
machinery.
• Develop technical specifications from general descriptions and create sketches for
specialty tools or modifications.
• Strictly monitor and maintain product weights as per design drawings.
Operational Management
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all mould designs, modifications, and
maintenance cycles.
• Monitor equipment performance and proactively report or fix malfunctions to prevent
production delays.
• Enforce and adhere to all company and government safety regulations within the tool
room.
4. CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate must be a precision-oriented professional capable of working in a highpressure manufacturing environment. Leadership experience in managing a tool room or a
