This civil infrastructure boom is going to continue for some time in Queensland due to the Olympics infrastructure developments, Bruce Hwy upgrades and additionally Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Projects.

DTMR (in particular Bruce Hwy) and Flood Recovery works are really starting to take off again, and due to this we have a number of roles on projects from CV$50m to CV$1b on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Mackay, Cairns and Townsville!

Roles include

• Site Engineer PUP – CV$400m – DTMR – 3 years duration
• Site Engineer General Civil – CV$100m – Local Council – 18 Mths Duration
• Project Engineer – PUP – CV$400m – DTMR – 2 years Duration
• Project Engineer General Civil – Local Council - CV$70m – 1 year duration
• SPE General Civil – DTMR – CV$500m – 3 years duration
• Site Engineer – CV$50m – Oil and Gas civil infrastructure – 18 mths duration – Central West Qld
• Project Engineer – CV$100m – Civil Bulk Earthworks – 12 mths duration Pilbara

General requirements and responsibilities dependent on role:

An in depth understanding of water and wastewater systems and operations or delivery of Road and Rail projects to Australian standards or experience in bulk and detail earthworks

Identification of design variations, options, risks and cost effectively solutions

Contract Interpretation, tender compilation, schedule and project reporting

Providing technical direction and advice throughout the execution stage

Create and implement work packages, liaise with subcontractor and stakeholders

An understanding of design, risk management, environmental and OHS standards

Commissioning of water/wastewater treatment infrastructure and transportation infrastructure

Experience on major projects within the water infrastructure sector Including Dams, Bridges, earthworks, structures, mine infrastructure projects

Planning and coordinating works with the Production teams

Ensuring all HSEQ project and site parameters are adhered to

Managing and tracking costs

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in a construction management or engineering field preferably Civil, have strong communication and presentation skills and possess a minimum 2 years experience in civil engineering delivery on Australian Projects for a Civil Contractor.
