Nurse Clinician
Job Description
The Nurse Clinician is responsible to coordinate, direct, plan and evaluate resident care activities to provide safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective care to residents and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and provide clinical guidance and supervision to nurses.
- Conduct on the job/classroom training and competency assessment.
- Provide nursing leadership and supervision to the clinical nursing staff and ensure safe and quality resident care.
- Ensure compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Evaluate and ensure that nursing practice and nursing care standards are being delivered in accordance with policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Perform clinical nursing audits, make suggestions and initiate quality improvement in care delivery.
- Teach, mentor and supervise nursing staff in their clinical practice.
- Assist in regular and on-going assessment of nursing staff competencies to ensure achievement of targets set and/or expected competency levels.
- Support the Director of Nursing in staff development activities and improvement projects.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 4 years of clinical experience
- A team player and able to work independently
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Coaching, mentoring and problem-solving skills
