About the role
A well-established civil construction business is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil) to join their Canberra team. You'll support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the ACT, working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors.
This role is ideal for a Project Engineer with solid site experience who wants exposure to end-to-end project delivery, strong mentoring, and a clear pathway toward Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager roles.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Support delivery of civil construction projects from start to finish
* Assist with planning, programming and cost control
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
* Manage documentation, RFIs and technical queries
* Monitor quality assurance and WHS compliance
* Provide regular progress reporting to project leadership
* Ensure works are delivered to specification and programme
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
* Experience working as a Project Engineer on civil projects
* Strong understanding of earthworks, services, roads or structures
* Ability to read drawings and manage technical details
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project systems
* ACT experience highly regarded but not essential
