Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch location – Food / Dairy projects – Consulting role – Project delivery

Join one of New Zealand’s leading engineering consultancies that specialise in food and dairy project delivery, providing engineering solutions to meet the ever-growing demand for food / dairy engineering throughout New Zealand. A forward-thinking consultancy dedicated to providing high-quality engineering solutions.


With plenty of upcoming work they are expanding and need an experienced Project Manager to join their successful project teams based in either Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch.


The Role
You will lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires strong stakeholder management, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on involvement in project delivery and execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients while leading consultancy projects

  • Oversee and coordinate design activities, installation work, and contractor interactions for project efficiency

  • Manage project scope, budget, and timelines while assessing cost implications and negotiating variations

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting business planning and quality assurance efforts.

    • What You Bring:

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Process Engineering, or similar

  • Proven experience in the dairy (or food) sector delivering large scale projects

  • Proven experience managing contractors and contract variations

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
