**Summary:**

The role of Public Policy Manager is to drive Meta’s public policy strategy, engagement, and programmatic initiatives in Taiwan. This individual contributor role is responsible for representing Meta externally with key stakeholders, support leaders, and leading the design and execution of public policy programs in Taiwan. The role require cross-functional collaboration and occasional flexibility in working hours and travel to support and coordinate with regional and global teams.

Public Policy Manager, Taiwan Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for policy strategy, advocacy & analysis in the above location

2. Develop and implement public policy strategies for Taiwan, ensuring alignment with Meta’s global, regional, and local objectives

3. Shape and advocate for Meta’s positions on key policy areas, including (but not limited to): Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital economy, privacy and data governance, content regulation and online safety, and other relevant policy areas impacting Meta’s business in Taiwan

4. Track regulatory trends and emerging issues in Taiwan’s digital policy landscape

5. Provide timely policy analysis to internal teams to inform policy strategy and advocacy efforts

6. Cover relevant areas of stakeholder engagement

7. Develop and maintain relationships with Taiwanese government, policymakers, regulators, civil society, businesses, and industry associations, especially those focused on AI and digital policy

8. Support and represent Meta in external policy discussions and engagements with government officials, regulators, industry associations, civil society, and academia

9. Deliver Program Management for the relevant location

10. Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of public policy programs and initiatives in Taiwan

11. Build and manage partnerships with key stakeholders to support program objectives

12. Coordinate events, campaigns, and the creation of relevant materials

13. Monitor program outcomes and adapt strategies as needed

14. Work closely with legal, communications, business, operations, and product teams—both locally and globally—to ensure coordinated policy approaches and program delivery

15. Support regional teams as needed

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Minimum Qualifications:

16. 7+ years of experience in public policy, including direct experience working with or within Taiwanese government agencies, regulators, technology companies, or advocacy groups

17. Professional working fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English

18. Demonstrated understanding of the policy landscape in Taiwan with a robust network among relevant stakeholders

19. Demonstrated ability to represent an organization in external engagements with key stakeholders

20. Experience in designing and deploying policy programs or projects, ideally in the tech sector, and project management skills and attention to detail

21. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

22. Proven ability to build partnerships and work with varied stakeholders, and cross-functional collaboration skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

23. Advanced degree in public policy, law, political science, or related field

24. Experience leading on trust and safety, innovation and business enablement programs

25. Experience working in or with multinational technology companies

26. Proven experience developing and implementing policy strategies in a complex environment, and in crisis management or public affairs is a plus
