Overview

We’re seeking a proven leader from the Australian transmission sector to spearhead our strategic objectives and deliver outstanding operational and financial results. This is a high-impact position for a senior executive with deep expertise in overhead transmission lines and a track record in delivering large-scale project portfolios while linking strategy directly to business performance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our Australian operations, engaging with TSOs, regulators, and industry leaders to drive growth, innovation, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Own the achievement of company strategic goals and translate them into actionable business plans.
  • Financial Accountability: Deliver annual operating and financial performance targets.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of overhead transmission line planning, design, and operations to ensure best-in-class project outcomes.
  • Program & Project Management: Lead the delivery of multiple major projects, ensuring timelines, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government regulators, TSOs, and senior grid executives.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Contribute to corporate strategy and break it down into measurable initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong background in the Australian transmission grid industry , preferably with direct TSO exposure.
  • Proven technical expertise in overhead transmission lines (planning, design, operations, and maintenance).
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale program and project portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of financial KPIs and their relationship to business drivers.
  • Experience in corporate strategy and strategic execution.
  • Ability to work effectively with government authorities and senior stakeholders in the power sector.
  • Leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to inspire and drive results.
