Job Overview

A well-established technical training academy based in KZN is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell accredited technical and safety-related training programmes. The role focuses on client engagement, training solutions, and supporting learner coordination across a wide range of mechanical material handling and occupational safety disciplines.

The academy operates in alignment with South Africa's Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows recognised SHE and ISO-aligned standards applicable to training institutions. It offers modular training programmes and functions as a registered Decentralised Trade Test Centre, with access to extensive industry-standard equipment used during training delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Client Engagement

• Promote and sell technical, safety, and occupational training programmes to new and existing clients.
• Engage with companies to identify training needs and recommend suitable training solutions.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits where required.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on training proposals.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to business growth.

Training Coordination Support

• Liaise with internal training teams to coordinate learner bookings and training schedules.
• Provide clients with clear information regarding course content, duration, and prerequisites.
• Support training-related administrative processes and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and learner information.

Training is delivered using industry equipment, enabling learners to gain practical, workplace-relevant experience.

Training Environment

• Training is facilitated by qualified Red Seal Riggers, experienced industry professionals, and trained assessors and moderators.
• Facilitators have additional certifications in occupational health & safety, first aid, lifting machinery inspection, and related disciplines.
• The academy promotes high safety, health, and environmental standards, ensuring learners are well prepared to work safely with heavy equipment and machinery.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven sales experience (training, technical, engineering, or services environment preferred).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within KZN.

Advantageous
