DM Civil has extensive experience in all facets of civil construction. Our capabilities extend from construction of water supply pipelines and land development to microtunneling and other trenchless technologies. We offer our people the opportunity to get involved in a diverse range of projects, from tendering through to construction.
Roles
We currently have Senior Contracts Administrator and Contracts Administrator positions available in our Midland Head Office. We are looking for people who possess strong commercial acumen and have project-based experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement : provide leadership and support in the procurement process, ensuring packages are procured in compliance with DMC’s governance.
- Subcontract review and negotiation : lead the review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project requirements and legal standards.
- Subcontract management : manage subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close-out.
- Financial reporting : lead the monthly cost reporting process, including cost tracking and forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes.
- Risk and opportunity management : conduct risk and opportunity reviews and offer potential risk management solutions.
- Head contract management : administer the head contract, preparing variations, claims or letters as required by the project.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Desirable: degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent.
- Previous experience in contracts and commercial management of projects from both subcontractor and client perspectives.
- Working knowledge of AS4000 and AS2124 standard Australian construction contracts.
- Experience in procurement and subcontract management, progress claims, cost forecasting, and contractual compliance on complex civil/infrastructure projects.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM).
- Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen and effective stakeholder engagement.
