What it's about
Reporting to the Co-head of Asia and based in Tokyo, this position will be tasked with refining and executing on the strategy and vision for building the private wealth business in Japan, which is one of the core markets for Partners Group in the region. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing an existing team of client facing professionals and as a senior leader of the Tokyo office, provide leadership, guidance, support, and mentorship to employees within the Tokyo office.
Through an existing extensive network of distribution partners, this position will be responsible for deepening those existing relationships as well as expanding into key global and regional relationships to realize the full distribution potential and bring Partners Group's wealth business towards the next phase of growth. This position will require a high degree of collaboration with global colleagues. Furthermore, this position will be tasked with developing new business growth areas as well as bringing in new business processes to further streamline and develop into the best in class client facing team for the private wealth industry.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the private wealth industry, and 10+ years of experience in working with GPs and/or distribution partners preferably in Tokyo. For this position, we are looking for someone who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization and someone who possesses strong networking & organization skills.
