About the Role:
Working closely with experienced Partners and Managers, you will gain exposure to a variety of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments. You'll play an active role in managing engagements, contributing directly to successful outcomes for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day management of corporate insolvency administrations (e.g., Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Receiverships).
  • Conducting thorough investigations into company affairs, analysing financial information, and identifying potential voidable transactions or misconduct.
  • Preparing accurate budgets and cash flow forecasts for businesses under administration.
  • Drafting comprehensive statutory reports for ASIC, creditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Implementing and monitoring appropriate financial controls on client engagements.
  • Maintaining meticulous working papers and ensuring file compliance to the highest standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, creditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the team's success and actively participating in business development initiatives where appropriate.

About You:
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable accountant eager to contribute to a high-performing team. You will ideally possess:

  • Experience: 2-4 years' relevant experience, ideally within:
    • A dedicated Insolvency/Restructuring practice, OR
    • An Audit or Business Services role within a Chartered Accounting firm, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in transitioning to Insolvency.
  • Qualifications:
    • A relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Accounting, Commerce, Finance).
    • Hold (or be actively working towards) your CA or CPA qualification.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective liaison with diverse stakeholders.
    • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, essential for this field.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage tasks independently.
    • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and often sensitive environment.
