This organization is responsible for providing solutions, primarily mobile services, to corporate clients, and you will participate in the business as a core member to expand the business.

Rakuten Mobile not only provides general mobile voice/data lines for corporate customers, but also offers solutions that enable the resolution of corporate challenges. In this organization, we are responsible for the following tasks to add and expand these solutions:

 - Planning and development of IP telephony services for corporate customers.

 - Support for new Rakuten Mobile MVNO operators entering the market as an MVNE.

In April 2025, Rakuten Mobile integrated the business operations of Rakuten Communications Corp.

By leveraging the expertise in IP telephony services and other areas cultivated by Rakuten Communications, and creating synergies with Rakuten Mobile, we aim to provide more innovative solutions and expand our business. To this end, we are seeking individuals who can develop and promote these services.

Position Details

You will be responsible for service development related to IP telephony and mobile (5G), as well as supporting the entry of new MVNO operators. Leveraging your technical background, you will perform the following tasks while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as sales, engineering, legal, and vendors.

- Service Planning & Consideration:

- Planning and proposing new services, and considering improvement measures for existing services.

- Formulating service specifications and defining requirements.

 - Market Research & Analysis:

- Researching market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.

 - Stakeholder Coordination:

- Coordination and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders such as sales, facilities, legal, and vendors.

- Smooth project promotion through collaboration with related departments.

 - Business Feasibility Assessment:

- Estimating PL (Profit and Loss statement) and conducting cost-benefit analysis.

- Creating materials necessary for investment decisions.

 - Document Creation:

- Creating planning documents, proposals, presentation materials, etc.

- Creating materials necessary for internal approval.

 - Approval Acquisition:

- Explaining to and building consensus with internal related departments.

- Presenting to management and obtaining approval.

 - Project Management:

- Formulating project plans and managing progress.

- Managing issues and risks.

 - Operation Flow Development:

- Designing and building operation flows necessary for service provision.

Required Qualifications:

Technical & Project Leadership:

・Ability to understand technical backgrounds from an engineer's perspective and lead projects, effectively involving relevant stakeholders.

・Strong technical background in communication infrastructure (e.g., experience in designing, building, and operating networks, servers, cloud environments).

・Proven experience (10+ years) in the ICT industry.

・Knowledge and experience in IP telephony (VoIP) or mobile business.

・Ability to work in Japan.

・Experience in coordinating and negotiating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and vendors.

Location & Language Requirements:

・Must have prior business experience in Japan.

・Currently possess a valid visa allowing employment in Japan.

・Business-level Japanese language proficiency (reading, writing, and fluent conversational skills).

・Ability to commute to the workplace in Japan at least 4 days a week.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience working at a telecommunications carrier.

- Experience in business planning or project management.

- Knowledge of security.

- Business-level English proficiency.
