Job Description

Social Media & Community Coordinator - Freelance

Were seeking a Social Media & Community Coordinator (Freelance) to support Librería de Satoshi and B4OS.dev by executing day-to-day social media and community activities for our educational programs and developer community.

Youll help translate complex ideas around Bitcoin, open source, and education into clear, engaging social content, with a strong focus on community interaction and consistency across platforms.

This is a freelance, execution-focused role, ideal for someone who works well from clear briefs, communicates ideas clearly, and delivers reliably.

What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Social Media & Community Execution

  • Social Media Content: Create, publish, and schedule content across social platforms
(X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, others as needed)

  • Content Adaptation: Turn long-form content (courses, talks, announcements) into social-ready formats

  • Copywriting: Write clear, engaging captions aligned with brand voice and tone

  • Community Support: Monitor and support community spaces (Discord, Telegram, social replies)

  • Engagement: Drive interaction and escalate relevant questions or feedback to the internal team

Coordination

  • Work from written briefs and content calendars provided by Marketing or Ops

  • Coordinate with design to request or reuse visual assets and templates

  • Ensure consistency with messaging, tone, and campaign goals

Were Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media and/or online communities

  • Excellent spelling and grammar in Spanish

  • Strong written communication skills in Spanish and English

  • Experience scheduling and structuring content based on briefs

  • Comfortable engaging with technical or educational communities

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Bitcoin, Lightning, FOSS, or tech education

  • Experience with tools like Metricool or similar

  • Canva and basic social analytics knowledge

  • Photo, video, motion, or basic editing skills

  • Willingness to travel 1–2 times per year

Why Youll Love Working With Us

  • Fully remote, async-first collaboration

  • Availability for sync meetings within PST (San Francisco) 10am–4pm

  • Flexible scheduling — we care about outcomes, not hours logged

  • Freelance, part-time engagement with long-term collaboration potential

Compensation

  • Freelance compensation, paid per month or per project
    (based on availability and scope)

  • Paid in Bitcoin, USD, or your preferred local currency

Culture

  • Mission-driven, international team

  • High standards for clarity, quality, and consistency

  • Direct, respectful, async-first communication

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
